Samsung has a brilliant Galaxy Note design idea that would ‘kill’ the notch and punch-hole cameras

Ever since the iPhone X made the infamous design feature on the 2018 iPhones, it was clear that the smartphone maker will include whatever we always want to deliver to those types of phone designs, Apple included. Notch is a compromise the iPhone manufacturer had to make in its quest to extend the screen from edge to edge because Apple replaced the fingerprint sensor with more sophisticated biometrics authentication. Android vendors, meanwhile, failed to adopt face IDs and went faster than the notch, trying to eliminate it from their designs. We have seen slide-out cameras and two-screen phones. And Samsung led the Pent-Hole Screen Design, Infinity-O for its next-generation flagship and mid-range phone. But Samsung has figured out a clever way to "kill" the footpath and infinity-o camera hole in the future Galaxy Note designs.

We had already told you that the slide-out camera design is a terrible idea for the phone for many reasons, even if they are a great way to remove selfie camera from the front of the phone. Slider devices can always break faster than conventional devices, and they may be more prone to maintain liquid damage. Not to mention that protective cases of phones with slide-out cameras are also strange contraceptives.

The Galaxy Note is unlikely to get a slide-out camera soon, but Samsung had a similar idea. According to Samsung patent recently discovered by Android Police, the selfie camera can be placed inside the S Pen Stylus. The patent was filed at the end of February, such that a large number of iPhone X phones were unveiled.

Such a design really allows you to take out S Pen and use it as a selfie camera, whenever you want to take a selfie without worrying about the slide-out mechanism, stability issues and protective matters. This is because the Galaxy Note already has an underlying canal for S Pen Stylus. This is the iconic feature of the phone.

By placing the camera inside the stylus, Samsung will not have to worry about notches and Infinity-O screens, and in the future, the Galaxy Note version may feature the true all-screen smartphone design that you always wanted.

He said, what's interesting about patents is that it focuses on optical zoom capabilities of a stylus, it suggests that Samsung will be able to incorporate even better cameras into the accessory using extra space inside the S Pen. compared to the space available inside a phone.

The obvious aspect of this design is that the phone will not support functionality like Face ID. On the other hand, Samsung has a sophisticated in-display fingerprint-sensing technology at its disposal, so 3D face recognition is not necessary.

With patents always, there is no point in moving ahead with Samsung's such plans. Galaxy Note 10 should be launched at some point in August, and it is very likely that it will be designed similar to the Galaxy S10.
