Sony's XB or Extra Bass headset setup is seen as a competitor to the popular Beats headphones. They deliver deeper bass with good sound quality. The company has now revealed a new pair of wireless headphones, the XB900N, to further compete with the Beats variety.

The new XB900N has a cool style similar to Sony WH-1000MX3 headphones. They even have the same digital noise interruption technology as well as Bluetooth support for pairing with your devices.

Sony says these new Extra Bass headphones offer low-frequency tuning options and can also work with digital assistants like Siri, Alexa and Google Assistant. They have a custom button that can be used to activate the voice assistant when connected to the smartphone.

Sony promotes the XB900N as a less expensive noise-cancelling headphone for customers who like bass. It is less expensive compared to some of its competitors, so they have an edge there. Bose QuietComfort 35 II, one of the best-selling wireless headphones, costs $350 and Beats Studio 3 makes wireless. Sony sells the XB900N for just $250. It's a great price point for a pair of headphones like this. Good movement by Sony.
